Chandelier lighting has given majesty, elegance and beauty to interior spaces for hundreds of years. Hanging Chandeliers Outside
If you’re planning a fully outdoor event, we can supply chandeliers to hang from within a pergola, or we can supply chandeliers with chandelier stands.
Our stands create the magical effect of chandeliers floating over the tables. Floor standing chandeliers can also be used in venues where there are no hanging points in the ceiling.
Pergolas provide a great framework for hanging chandeliers down the length of a table and we can even build a pergola for you in your garden or at your venue.
Both the pergolas and chandelier stands can look wonderful dressed in foliage and ivy and we can help with recommending some wonderful florists to help with this.
FAQs for Outdoor Chandeliers
We are often asked about the possibility of hanging chandeliers outside so here are a few of the most asked questions and our answers.
Can you hang a chandelier outside?
If you have the promise of good weather, dry and without wind and without a heavy dew fall in the morning, there is no reason why you can’t hang a regular chandelier outside for a night (with the advice and help of an electrician). Regular chandeliers do not want to get wet as the water will short-circuit the electrics and could be dangerous as well as break your chandelier.
How do you waterproof a chandelier?
We have been building chandeliers that are IP65 rated. This means they are rated for outdoors and can get wet. We achieve this by a combination of making them 12V rather than 240V for safety and using waterproof lamp holders and electrical connectors.
Can we have an outdoor garden chandelier for our wedding?
Yes, you can. You can hire or buy outdoor chandeliers from us and we can install one or more in trees, from garden pergolas or on their own stands.
