Creating a Fairy-tale Woodland with Chandeliers in Trees
Chandeliers have always been part of the visual imagery of fairy-tales and stories that take us our of the everyday and into the fantastical where we are willing to suspend belief. By hanging chandeliers in trees, we enter the fairy-tale and feel the possibility of our own lives being a magical story. The ballrooms have ’spilled out into the gardens’ down pathways and under trees where we find ourselves in wonder as if entering Alice’s ‘Wonderland’. Avenues of ornate chandeliers can lead the viewer on a magical journey through the woods creating an atmosphere of mystery and excitement. A giant chandelier hanging under a tree creates a mini ballroom in a woodland setting, where the beauty of the surroundings connects a person to nature and the magical moment.
Acorn Chandelier Walkways and Gateways
Has this lighting grown out of the trees themselves like giant illuminated seed pods, or was it installed by fairies? Walkways and gateways of chandeliers shaped like acorns hang from hemp rope, takes festoon lighting to a new level, in which the forest retains its natural beauty.
